Dates: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays only through 10/28/18. Special opening on Monday, October 8 (Columbus Day) from 12-6pm. Hours: 10am-6pm. Please note that the farm closes at 6pm, no one will be allowed to enter the mazes after 5pm. Hours may change at any time without notice, especially due to inclement weather.     • Sunflower maze (great for little ones)
    • Cotton maze – medium difficulty maze and should take about 20 minutes to complete.
    • Corn maze -  this maze has the hardest level of difficulty, miles of path, and should take the average person about 45 minutes to complete.
    • Choose from over 50 varieties of pumpkins and gourds and cut them right off the vine
    • Wagon rides on the weekends- Enjoy a scenic and educational half hour ride around our working farm.
    • Kids Play Area: hay mountain, sand pile, corn stalk tunnel, 3 slides for kids of all ages, tire swings, pipe tunnel, pedal carts, picture opportunities and so much more.
    • WRISTBANDS: White wristbands (all inclusive): includes 3 mazes, wagon ride and play area (no play area fee for adults) $12. Green wristband: Admission to all 3 mazes (corn, cotton & sunflower) $8. Yellow wristband: Wagon ride only $2 per child, 1 adult free with each child. Orange wristband: Play area access only $4 per child, 1 adult free with each child

Cost: Starting at $12, and going up based on size of the pumpkin
Activity: Our pumpkin patch is the best place for pick-your-own pumpkins in Chesapeake! Pick-your-own pumpkins starts at $12 and includes a free hayride to the patch and fun fall games for the kids. Don't forget to stop by our barnyard to visit the animals! Make your plans now!

    • Mornings are very busy with field trips but we are still open to the public. Barrel Train rides, hayrides, pony rides and bounce house start at 12 but everything else is open all day.

Hunt Club Farm Harvest Fair (Virginia Beach)

Activity: The Harvest Fair features Virginia Beach’s largest Pumpkin Patch, farm tour hayrides, the Petting Farm, pony rides, carnival rides and inflatable amusements.
Mount Pleasant Farms Fall Festival (Chesapeake)

Date: Fall on the Farm Activities will be Saturdays and Sunday on select weekends in October 2018: 6th & 7th, 13th & 14th, 20th & 21st, and 27th & 28th). Saturdays 10am - 6pm/Sundays 12pm - 5pm
Cost:  FREE Parking/Admission. Corn Maze and Wagon Ride available, please call for pricing.
Activity: Wagon rides through the orchard, corn maze, straw pile, corn pit, pumpkins, playground, petting zoo, and much more!

Taylor Farm Fall Fun (Virginia Beach)
Address: 2599 Dam Neck Road, Virginia Beach VA
Dates: Farm is currently open for Fall Fun through October 2018 for Weekends only: Saturdays 10am-5pm, Sundays 12-5pm. Pumpkins/Pumpkin activities will be available beginning September 29, 2018.
Activities: Animal park, playgrounds, bounce houses, hayride around the farm (all included with admission). Beginning September 29th a 3 to 5 lb. pumpkin, and pumpkin painting is also included. Please don't bring pets.
Cost: $5 per person through September 23, 2018. Beginning September 29th: Admission is $7 per person, children under one year are free. Pony rides are available for $4. All major credit cards are accepted.

Activities: The Dismal Swamp Art Festival offers a magical mystery ride at the City of Chesapeake’s Park, The Canal Trail of the National Wildlife Refuge. Fine Artists come from near and far to sell and share their works, while interacting with visitors. The 2 days of the journey includes live headlining Music to ease the spirit, while your taste buds savor adventuresome world famous Brunswick Stew and other scrumptious Fall fares. Fine wine, Craft Brews, and Hot Apple Cider will keep everyone hydrated all weekend long. Harvest-themed activities and Artistic expression await children of all ages.

Cost: Get your tickets before October 12th for early bird pricing: Tickets are just $40 for admission, food, and 2 drink tickets. Children and individuals under 21 pay just $20. Or bring the whole family for just $110. 
Activity: Join us from 1:00-5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 27th, for an afternoon of Bavarian-themed food, fun and libations at our annual fall fundraiser to help preserve where the wild things are! Festivities will be held beneath the pines, here at Hoffler Creek Wildlife Preserve. Brats, baked chicken, soft pretzels and more, served by Rodman's Bar-B-Que will be paired with craft beers from local breweries. Music will be provided by The Happy Dutchmen while we participate in traditional and modern Oktoberfest activities like a beer stein holding competition, corn hole and more. Don't forget to have your checkbooks ready to take part in our silent auction and 50/50 raffle, all in support of our ongoing mission!

Bringing a non-perishable food item to donate to the FoodBank of Virginia for a discount on the Hayride and to help support their great work here in the area.
Activity: Fall Festival, a free and safe trick-or-treating event. That day we’ll be joined by goblins, ghouls, superheroes and storybook characters along with dozens of our local partner organizations who will share their work with nature or on the environment - and a little candy. We’ll have a free spooky trail walk, face-painting, crafts and games, hayrides, and activities galore - with an emphasis on the creepy crawlies that you might find in the Chesapeake bay watershed! Put on your favorite costume (no masks please) and join us for a whole day of fun here at the preserve!

Military Families - The Military Family Festival (Virginia Beach)

Our show is designed to promote talented artists, crafters, and local businesses at an extraordinary venue. Fall Jubilee (Norfolk)

Vendors will be selling their gift items to help with your stocking stuffers. We are accepting non-perishable food contributions for the Food Bank and new unwrapped toys for the"Toys for Tots". All other proceeds will go to the ECIEA non-profit team. 


Southeast Community Day Parade & Festival (Newport News)

Activity: Activities are going on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and include the largest parade in the City of Newport News and live gospel music! The parade takes place Saturday beginning at10am.

Go Green Expo - An Indoor Festival for the Whole Family (Newport News)

Activity: Go Green Expo is Hampton Roads' premier, horticultural, sustainability, indoor event! Sponsored by the Peninsula Master Gardeners and the Virginia Cooperative Extension, this one-day event is FREE for visitors, residents, consumers and business leaders! If you are interested in eco-friendly products and practices, this event is for you. This year's Go Green Expo will feature a much-expanded area for kids activities!

Activity: Do not miss the opportunity to come out and enjoy for FREE a fun, and exciting day provided by the Navy Special Operations Foundation. This is the First Annual Patriot’s Day Festival hosted by Back Bay Farms held in honor of all the American Patriots who were lost on 9/11, and those who have sacrificed so much to protect this nation both at home and abroad. There will be food, live music, and lots of activities to entertain all!

Activity: Taste of Suffolk is back in Downtown Suffolk for the 12th year! This annual street festival tradition will span Main Street from Finney Avenue to Washington Street. Activity: Join us at the all new Crabtown Seafood Festival on the Downtown Hampton Waterfront for a crab-crackin', shrimp-peelin', oyster-shuckin' good time! Fresh seafood, cooking demonstrations, unique merchants, history stations, live music, picnic stations, children's activities and more. Seafood vendors, fishing boats and educational bay exhibits will line the downtown waterfront from Mill Point Park to Carousel Park, honoring Hampton's history as a town built by seafood.

SAY Festival (Norfolk)

Activity: The goal of the S.A.Y (Scholar, Arts, and Youth) Festival is to promote academic achievement while we connect and serve our local communities, to provide the community with a fun, family-friendly atmosphere to celebrate the beginning of a new school year, and to fellowship with friends — new and not so new. The event features free school supplies and a block party with great food and entertainment. Visit WHRO's area to meet Sid the Science Kid. Also, receive free books and enjoy fun activities.

Activity: Catch a show, watch a tractor pull, enter the talent show, or enjoy the sights from the top of the giant Ferris wheel. We know you will agree it is the best four days to end your summer!

Activity: The Naval Station Norfolk Fleet Fest is free and open to the public family-friendly event. Join us on Friday evening and Saturday as MWR presents live entertainment, ship tours, static aircraft displays, large children's playing area, military demonstrations, chili cook-off, car show, food vendors and more. The festivities kick-off Friday, October 19 when Naval Station Norfolk gates open to the public at 5 p.m. for a free concert featuring 3 Doors Down. Saturday activities start at 10 a.m.
