The Ability Center of Virginia delivers programs and services to children and adults with disabilities throughout Hampton Roads, the Peninsula, Virginia’s Eastern Shore and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Summer Camp Program offered seasonally.

Prezuki is a music program designed for young musicians ages 18 months – turning 4 years old. (Norfolk location)

Music Lessons - Instruction is offered in piano, voice and most orchestral instruments.

Band-Together is a pilot program through Academy of Music that provides instrumental music instruction for individuals with and without disabilities on traditional band instruments (flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, percussion.)

​Aid Another provides inclusion programs that exclusively considers special needs families. Aid Another provides inclusive educational, cultural and recreational programs that are designed to improve quality of life, reduce isolation and enhance social settings.

AMC locations in Hampton and Virginia Beach offer monthly screenings of popular movies with modifications for a sensory-sensitive audience. The auditoriums dedicated to the program have their lights up, the sound turned down and audience members are invited to get up and dance, walk, shout or sing!

Apogee BJJ is committed to growing strong families and is designed with the whole family in mind! We offer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai classes for adults and kids, regular Kids' Night Out events, Parent/Child classes, and a free 7-day trial.

Our adaptive BJJ program is designed for children 6-12 to meet the needs of athletes with special neurological, physical, or emotional needs. The READY workshop is a dynamic 12-week program designed to empower individuals with the skills and confidence needed for career success and independent living. Each week, participants will engage in interactive sessions focused on building resilience, enhancing self-advocacy, and developing personal growth strategies. From mastering job readiness to strengthening life skills, READY provides the tools, resources, and personalized support to help you take charge of your future, all while fostering a sense of community and connection along the way.

Connecting The Steps offers comprehensive evaluations and services, including ABA, to families with children who have  special needs, including autism. Services include Parent Training, Potty Training, Behavior Redirection as a part of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Adaptive Skills instruction and support, Social Skills Training, and Summer Camp Programs.

Culinary Connections is an innovative, immersive kitchen experience for individuals to learn culinary techniques, nutritional literacy, communication and coping skills. Through a variety of courses created for various audiences, students are better able to plan and prepare balanced meals and ultimately enhance overall health, wellness and independence. Culinary Connections offers three experiential culinary arts courses and two specialized kitchen group therapy opportunities.

Therapeutic horseback riding program for individuals who have mental, physical, emotional, social or learning disabling conditions.

Summer programs are available for both the therapeutic riding participants and an inclusion camp open to the public. Campers must be able to follow verbal directions, have an interest in learning about horses and horse care, and be toilet trained. Each day campers will receive both mounted riding and ground lessons in order to learn proper horsemanship while having tons of fun! The camp will help to build positive relationships with fellow campers, equines, staff, and counselors.
