4-H is the youth (ages 5 to 19) development education program of Virginia Cooperative Extension. 4-H is rich with learning experiences where young people partner with caring adults and volunteers in a fellowship unlike any other program available to youth today. During the summer, 4-H offers a range of day and residential (overnight) camps.

Commune is a farmer-owned sustainable eatery, cafe and bakery using local ingredients to serve delicious and conscientious food and drink located in the Vibe Art's District in Virginia Beach. Cooking classes available.

Culinary Connections is an innovative, immersive kitchen experience for individuals to learn culinary techniques, nutritional literacy, communication and coping skills. Through a variety of courses created for various audiences, students are better able to plan and prepare balanced meals and ultimately enhance overall health, wellness and independence.

Culinary Connections offers three experiential culinary arts courses and two specialized kitchen group therapy opportunities.

Welcome to The Bake Studio at May’s — where butter, flour, and a little magic come together. Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned home baker, our hands-on classes invite you to roll up your sleeves, learn new skills, and leave with something delicious (and a little flour on your apron). Baking classes are open to ages 12+. There are some parent + child classes open to younger bakers.

The Royal Chocolate holds regular special events including "make your own chocolate bar" workshops, and chocolatier camps for kids. Birthday parties available.

Tidewater Community College’s weekly College and Career Exploration Camps are being offered all summer long on TCC’s campuses in Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Suffolk & Virginia Beach. Scholarships available.

Bayside, Bow Creek, Great Neck, Kempsville, and Princess Anne locations have an indoor play structure.
