4-H Club Programs and CampsThrough 4-H, young people are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities that emphasize 4-H's "learning by doing" philosophy of youth development. 4-H Programs offers programs for young people ages 5-18. Summer camp available for ages 9-12.
4-H has lots of projects: photography, technology, leadership, animals, horticulture, health, citizenship, nutrition, clothing, rocketry, woodworking, entomology, and arts and theatre. -

Cloverbud 4-H Camps—programming events for youth 5-8 years of age. Youth must meet the minimum age of 5 between October 1 and September 30, and must not be older than the maximum age. -

Weyanoke Bird and Wildflower SanctuaryThe Sanctuary covers about eight acres of land in the western edge of the West Ghent neighborhood. It is open to the public from 9 AM on Saturday until 6 PM on Sunday (5 PM in the winter months).

What The Farm Kids CampWhat The Farm Kids Camp is a summer, week-long full-day program for children ages 5-12 years old. Campers will work with our experienced farm staff to learn about sustainable agricultural practices, such as caring for our farm animals, collecting eggs, turning compost, planting, weeding, irrigating, harvesting, studying bees and pollinators, and making homemade foods. What The Farm is all about fostering a child’s creativity, natural curiosity, and appreciation for the outdoors… oh, and lots of ORGANIC fun!

We maintain our farm with natural areas and wild flower fields for pollinators and wildlife. Flower Picking reservations are open from Spring until late Summer. We are proud to be certified as a National Wildlife Habitat Site by the National Wildlife Federation and the North Carolina Wildlife Federation. We are listed on the Butterfly Highway. -
