4-H is the youth (ages 5 to 19) development education program of Virginia Cooperative Extension. 4-H is rich with learning experiences where young people partner with caring adults and volunteers in a fellowship unlike any other program available to youth today. During the summer, 4-H offers a range of day and residential (overnight) camps.

Camp Loud provides a nurturing therapeutic environment for children ages 5-16. The program will offer a step by step process that will support and empower individuals to embrace creative ways of learning while engaging in “Mindful Habits for Kids” education and learning how to build healthy relationships and strengthening socialization skills while referencing familiar movies.

The Community Outreach Coalition is a nonprofit organization that ministers to low-income youth and children with disabilities through academics, athletics, and the arts. Childcare, preschool, before/after care, tutoring, summer camps, science programs, athletics, cooking classes, dance and step, performing arts, vocal lessons & more.

The organization, Complete The Puzzle is a nonprofit charitable organization based in Portsmouth, Virginia and dedicated to working with children and youth who are suffering from developmental disabilities.

Dream F.O.R.W.A.R.D. is the flagship STEAM-focused (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) youth initiative of Embouldin To Dream, Inc., designed to equip high school students with the exposure, confidence, and applied skills needed to thrive beyond their current environment. Now enrolling rising 9th graders. Structured as a multi-year, cohort-based experience, the program integrates academic enrichment, emerging technology, financial literacy, leadership development, and community impact. Community Feeding Programs: Each year, we host our annual "Feed the People" event, where we come together to provide nourishment and support to those in need within our community. The Hampton Roads Chess Association (HRCA) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to bringing the benefits of chess to people of all ages and abilities across our region. Serving youth and adult competitive chess players, schools, the handicapped, the elderly, veterans, and Scouts. Ongoing chess programs, instruction, groups and Summer camps available.

Hampton Roads Urban Agriculture is a non profit organization that is committed to reducing food insecurity within the Hampton Roads area, through urban farming, educational programming, and by creating a sustainable food system. We manage community gardens that are utilized to train veterans and community members in growing their own food or starting a small scale  farm. We offer programs around healthy eating, over 80% of the food grown in the garden is given away to those in need. We are working to launch our Drones in Agriculture program  for at-risk youth as a way to expose them to careers in agriculture, STEM, coding, healthy eating as well as our youth farmers market entrepreneurship  program. Youth summer programs available.

Skateboard classes and a Summer Skateboard Camp for kids 7-14 years old who are interested in learning the fundamentals of skateboarding safely. Homeschool classes may be available.

Horizons Hampton Roads inspires young minds through proven summer enrichment programs where low-income children are challenged academically, socially and physically to meet with greater successes in school and in life and are rewarded with gains on academic testing and grow in confidence. Norfolk, Portsmouth, & Virginia Beach Public school students in grades K-8 who qualify for free/reduced lunch are encouraged to apply for Horizons through their guidance counselor.

Kojack's Baseball Academy trains youth of all ages in all baseball skills via individual or group lessons. We are the home for the KBA baseball organization and we rent out space for teams to train in a safe and professional environment. We offer private lessons, team rentals, spring/fall baseball teams, and summer camps. All private lessons are based in a private or group environment, where your child will train with a coach who has the ability to take your ball player to the next level. Parties available.
