For active duty military families, we run monthly outdoor events such as exploring nature, hiking, rafting, yoga, astronomy, bird watching, nature journaling, surfing, visiting national park sites, and much more. Events are located across Hampton Roads and occasionally beyond. There is no fee. Participants must join the Blue Star Neighborhood and register beforehand for a chance to be selected for any event. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We would love for you to join us!

Kayaks and Paddleboats are available to rent, either by the hour or for the full day of operation.

Our watercraft are floating on the water off the Chesapeake Bay at our main location right on Buckroe Beach. We also have launch location at Fort Monroe. Jet Ski Rentals, Flyboard, SUPs, beach cruisers, kayaks and more.

This state-of-the-art aquatics center provides recreational opportunities for the community with a 50-meter pool, a 25-yard pool and an outdoor splash park. This facility serves two purposes: as a community fitness and wellness center with swimming lessons and as a generator of youth sports travel. The complex offers water safety and first learn-to-swim classes to all Hampton second-grade students. Spring and summer camps available.

Year-Round Sailing Programs and Camps for Youth.

K2 Diving is a year-round competitive springboard diving club in Hampton Roads. The club practices at locations in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Hampton, and Newport News. Ages 7+ K2 Diving offers diving instruction for the new diver just starting out, to the advanced elite diver, and everyone in between. Formed in 2011, K2 Diving is a year-round competitive springboard diving club in Hampton Roads and is the only competitive springboard dive club in the area, encompassing Southeastern Va. and a 100-mile radius.

Park with gardens, lake, wetland marshes, education and wildlife center with boating, fishing, camping and walking trails. Kayaks, paddleboats, canoes, and 14-foot jon boats available for rent. Birthday parties available.

Sailing program provides sailing instruction by US Sailing Certified Instructors to youth in Beginner, Intermediate, Intro to Racing, Water Safety and Survival and Family Learn to Sail (all ages).
