The Military Aviation Museum, located at the Virginia Beach Airport, is home to one of the largest private collections of First and Second World War, and Korean War era fighters, bombers, trainers and seaplanes. Summer Camps and Special Events, Homeschool Events and Storytimes available.
Members, Children 4 & Under, and WWII Veterans are Free. Group rates are available for groups of 10+ when planned in advance.

Make sure to also take the guided tour. That is the highlight of the museum. Plus there is NO extra charge for the guided tour.
The collection itself was impressive. This is a well run museum. The gentlemen working were all so knowledgeable and enjoyed being there. From what we were told they have some great events and fly some of the planes regularly. Highly recommend visiting. Plan on about 2.5-3 hours.

The Whitehurst-Buffington House, circa 1793, is designated as one of the 50 most historically significant structures in Virginia Beach. The Whitehurst-Buffington House is currently being restored and preserved as a living example of Virginia life in the 18th and 19th centuries and as a tribute to the Whitehurst family.
