4-H Clubs & Programs – Virginia Beach4-H is the youth (ages 5 to 19) development education program of Virginia Cooperative Extension. 4-H is rich with learning experiences where young people partner with caring adults and volunteers in a fellowship unlike any other program available to youth today.
Through 4-H, young people are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities that emphasize 4-H's "learning by doing" philosophy of youth development. 4-H is characterized as being community-centered, volunteer-led, Extension-staff supervised, research-based, home- and family-oriented, publicly and privately funded, and responsive to change.
During the summer, 4-H offers a range of day and residential (overnight) camps.
There are unlimited possibilities for club and/or individual member areas of interest:

Cullipher FarmLocal farm offering a roadside market with fresh produce, baked goods, ice cream, and our pick-your-own fields and orchards. Cullipher Farm offer fruits for picking throughout the season including Strawberries, Blueberries, Peaches, Grapes, Apples, and Pumpkins. Each fall they have a unique themed corn maze. First Landing Junior Ranger Summer CampEnroll your child in this enriching, nature focused camp all to do with the natural, historical, and cultural resources of First Landing State Park. Our Park Rangers promise to deliver safe and exciting experiences in the outdoors for your camper through quality educational programming including guided hikes, games, applied science activities, interactions with live animals, crafts, and more. We will dive deep into topics like local flora and fauna, outdoor skill building, park history, and themes of environmental stewardship. Thisldo FarmRiding lessons - One hour long private lessons with Mrs. Sylvia. Students help groom and tack up the horse, ride, and untack at the end of their lesson. Students will advance through the various stages of riding as their instructor sees fit. Each lesson is tailored to the individual student. All levels are welcome, beginner to advanced! What The Farm Kids CampWhat The Farm Kids Camp is a summer, week-long full-day program for children ages 5-12 years old. Campers will work with our experienced farm staff to learn about sustainable agricultural practices, such as caring for our farm animals, collecting eggs, turning compost, planting, weeding, irrigating, harvesting, studying bees and pollinators, and making homemade foods. What The Farm is all about fostering a child’s creativity, natural curiosity, and appreciation for the outdoors… oh, and lots of ORGANIC fun!
