Neptune's Forest

Neptune’s Forest is a forest preschool in Virginia Beach, VA, thoughtfully designed for young learners ages 3–4. Within the first moments a child steps into our outdoor classroom, they are immersed in a nature-based, play-centered environment that supports social, emotional, and cognitive growth. As a forest preschool, we believe children learn best when they are free to explore, imagine, and connect with the world around them.

In our outdoor classroom, we embrace the power of unstructured play, which is key to building resilience, confidence, and independence. Through playful exploration, children develop critical social skills, learn how to collaborate, and become active participants in their own learning.

Outdoor nature-based learning supports every aspect of a child’s development—physical, emotional, cognitive, and social. Because these areas are interconnected, hands-on exploration helps children grow in a balanced, holistic way.
