Advocating 4 Kids, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides training, coaching services, and direct advocacy support to parents of children with disabilities. We are a Culturally Responsive organization that respects the needs of Black and Brown Families.

​Aid Another provides inclusion programs that exclusively considers special needs families. Aid Another provides inclusive educational, cultural and recreational programs that are designed to improve quality of life, reduce isolation and enhance social settings.

Ages 4-16. Tee ball, softball, baseball and Challenger divisions are offered in both the spring and the fall.

Autism Consulting and Therapy (ACT) is Hampton Roads’ oldest ABA therapy clinic, providing a developmental preschool and social skills group environment for young children with Autism and other developmental disabilities. Autism Society Tidewater Virginia (ASTV) is celebrating, over 40 years of non-profit services, education, advocacy, services, and support to children, youth, and adults with autism, their families and friends, and professionals who serve them.  We are a local affiliate of the national Autism Society, founded in 1965.

Connecting The Steps offers comprehensive evaluations and services, including ABA, to families with children who have  special needs, including autism. Services include Parent Training, Potty Training, Behavior Redirection as a part of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Adaptive Skills instruction and support, Social Skills Training, and Summer Camp Programs.

Culinary Connections is an innovative, immersive kitchen experience for individuals to learn culinary techniques, nutritional literacy, communication and coping skills. Through a variety of courses created for various audiences, students are better able to plan and prepare balanced meals and ultimately enhance overall health, wellness and independence.

Culinary Connections offers three experiential culinary arts courses and two specialized kitchen group therapy opportunities.

Therapeutic horseback riding program for individuals who have mental, physical, emotional, social or learning disabling conditions.

Summer programs are available for both the therapeutic riding participants and an inclusion camp open to the public. Campers must be able to follow verbal directions, have an interest in learning about horses and horse care, and be toilet trained. Each day campers will receive both mounted riding and ground lessons in order to learn proper horsemanship while having tons of fun! The camp will help to build positive relationships with fellow campers, equines, staff, and counselors.

The FACT Resource Center in Virginia Beach provides a supportive and nurturing environment through collaborating, cooperating, and cohabitating of multiple local programs serving the autism community. On-site resources include the Factivity hall,  board room, gymnasium, sensory gym, and quiet room. Space is available for programming, parties and special events (contact FACT for additional information).
