We are a Mindful Holistic Whole Brain Developmental Children's Educational Organization created to promote opening social and emotional awareness and educational play in a stress-free, balanced, nature-focused environment for ages 18months-17 years.

Hands-On Exhibits, Activities and Events. Birthday Parties, Summer Camps and Homeschool Programs are available. Planetarium. Sensory-Friendly Hours are regularly scheduled.
Academic support for K-12, as well as students with special needs and homeschoolers.
Therapeutic Recreation programs are designed for individuals with documented disabilities, including but not limited to:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Down Syndrome
- Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
- Intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Other behavioral or neurological conditions
We proudly serve both children (ages 6–21) and adults (ages 21 and older) through year-round programs, events, and recreational opportunities tailored to meet their needs and interests.
The Community Outreach Coalition is a nonprofit organization that ministers to low-income youth and children with disabilities through academics, athletics, and the arts. Childcare, preschool, before/after care, tutoring, summer camps, science programs, athletics, cooking classes, dance and step, performing arts, vocal lessons & more.
The organization, Complete The Puzzle is a nonprofit charitable organization based in Portsmouth, Virginia and dedicated to working with children and youth who are suffering from developmental disabilities.
Parent-child music and movement class for ages 8 months to 4 years old. In our class, we play our instruments to rhythmic patterns, tap along to the beat, and express ourselves through movement. Weekend and weekday classes available. Birthday parties available.
Classes are available in Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, as well as occasionally in Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Windsor
PATHS is an educational support program with academic and elective classes for students from Kindergarten to 12th grade. Registration to PATHS has a fee, plus a monthly fee for each class attended, and requires an approved membership. Entry into the Academy or Educational Therapy programs requires placement testing.
Social Building Blocks is designed for 3 to 6 aged neurodivergent children, focusing on developing and practicing social skills through purposeful play. Participants, and their caregivers, will be given the opportunity to engage with one another in a welcoming and inclusive environment, creating social connections with those in their community. During this program, participants will engage in structured play, music and movement, and arts and crafts activities, tailored toward turn taking, sharing, and building connections.

Special Needs Clubs of Hampton Roads are inclusive community programs designed to empower individuals with disabilities by creating safe, supportive, and engaging spaces to connect, grow, and thrive. These clubs offer social, recreational, educational, and life-skills activities that promote independence, confidence, and meaningful friendships. Serving children, teens, and adults across the Hampton Roads area, the clubs celebrate abilities, encourage self-expression, and foster a strong sense of belonging. Through collaboration with families, volunteers, and local partners, Special Needs Clubs of Hampton Roads help participants build skills, discover passions, and enjoy full participation in their community.
Swimming at the Y helps people thrive—in and out of the water. Swim lessons provide kids and teens with the opportunity to set goals and achieve success, learn water safety and enjoy swimming as a form of exercise. Through swimming lessons, swim teams, lap swimming and more, the YMCA of the South Hampton Roads provides a safe environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
