We work with participants with disabilities to restore physical, cognitive, social, and emotional functioning, build confidence, develop coping skills, and integrate skills learned in treatment settings into everyday life. Intervention areas vary widely and are based upon client interests, such as aquatics, arts & crafts, animal therapy, camps, outdoor adventure, adapted sports, music therapy, special events, and so much more!

A 69 acre park with the largest children's playground in the City, Kidszone Community Playground (Inclusive Playground), Howard Mast Tennis Complex (10 courts, 4 lighted), parking, a walking loop, a skateboard spot, picnic tables, and benches.

Parent-child music and movement class for ages 8 months to 4 years old. In our class, we play our instruments to rhythmic patterns, tap along to the beat, and express ourselves through movement. Weekend and weekday classes available. Birthday parties available. Classes are available in Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, as well as occasionally in Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Windsor

Special Needs Clubs of Hampton Roads are inclusive community programs designed to empower individuals with disabilities by creating safe, supportive, and engaging spaces to connect, grow, and thrive. These clubs offer social, recreational, educational, and life-skills activities that promote independence, confidence, and meaningful friendships. Serving children, teens, and adults across the Hampton Roads area, the clubs celebrate abilities, encourage self-expression, and foster a strong sense of belonging. Through collaboration with families, volunteers, and local partners, Special Needs Clubs of Hampton Roads help participants build skills, discover passions, and enjoy full participation in their community.

Step Forward ABA provides compassionate, individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children and families. Our goal is to help each child build meaningful skills that increase independence, communication, social engagement, and success in everyday life. Our team develops personalized treatment plans based on each child’s unique strengths and needs. Services may focus on areas such as communication, social skills, daily living skills, emotional and behavioral regulation, play, and reducing behaviors that may interfere with learning or independence. Step Forward ABA offers both center-based and in-home ABA services, allowing families to receive support in an environment that best fits their child’s needs. We believe collaboration with parents, caregivers, schools, and other community providers is an important part of helping children make meaningful and lasting progress. We proudly serve families throughout the Hampton Roads area and welcome families who are looking to learn more about ABA therapy, the intake process, or available services.
