Overnight Camps: Acting & Theater

Generic Theater for Kids Acting School for Children and Teens Summer Camp programs will be located in the Rehearsal rooms of Roadstead Montessori High School located at 112 College Place in Norfolk, between Granby and Bouch St. next to TCC.

Camps meet Monday - Fridays from 9:00am to 3:00pm with after-care available til 5:30pm and free drop off at 8:30am.

TINY TOTS Ages 5 to 7 - 1 week - June 24 - 28, 2024 - Performance at ODU University Theater on June 29

MUSICAL THEATER Ages 8 to Teens – 2 weeks - July 8 to 19, 2024 - Musical Play performance at ODU University Theater on July 20

ACTING FOR STAGE Ages 8 to Teens – 2 weeks - July 22 to August 2, 2024 - Performance at ODU University Theater on August 3

ACTING FOR TV & MOVIES Ages 9 to Teens – one week - August 5 to 9, 2024 - Videotaped with Professional Equipment

Tuition includes all scripts, costumes, and performance fees. Two week camps are $375 and one week camps are $250. Discounts for second sibling attending the camp. After care is available from 3pm to 5:30 for $75 per week.

THE ACTING CLASSES at Ballet Virginia Studio, 4314 Va. Beach Blvd. HAVE ADDED NEW CLASSES!

STAGE COMBAT and SWORDPLAY will be added to our roster of classes. The usual classes consist of Pantomime, Improvisation, Audition techniques, Script work and performance.

All students have speaking
parts in all shows. No understudies or walk ons.

Singing classes and dance movements are included when the show is a musical.

Come be a star at Hurrah! Ages 5+. No experience necessary! Registration starts March 1. You must call 757-627-5437 M-F 9:00am to 4:30pm to register.

The Hurrah Players fun and interactive camps will teach campers to Act, Sing and Dance! There is a small performance on the last day and an optional field trip. Camps are 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, with available aftercare until 5:30 pm if needed.

For those ages 12 and up that wish to begin a new class subject or polish their skills. We offer Musical Theatre ( open to all), Tap 1-2 ( newer tappers ), Tap 3-4 (experienced tappers), Acting (open to all) and Jazz 1-2 (newer dancers) and Jazz 3-4 (experienced dancers)

Working with professional theater artists, campers will participate in fun, theatrical experiences that engage their imaginations. This two-week program includes creative writing, character study, improvisation, movement, and games.

Held at The Governor’s School for the Arts and the historic Wells Theatre, all camps create and present an original production based on camp themes to be performed for friends and family!

Join us this Sept 7 - Nov 10 for our first ever KIDS! MUSICAL, "Imagine a Dragon!"

Offered twice a year, our 10-Week Saturday Workshop is a performance opportunity expressly for kids ages 7-12! Watch your kids’ confidence and imagination grow as they gain valuable theatre experience through this thoroughly creative workshop experience.

With guidance and teamwork, students learn and perform a creative and engaging show using newly acquired skills. Come play with us!
