The Armed Services YMCA offers quality Child Care and Before/After Care during the school year as well as SUMMER CAMPS for children ages 5-12. Civilians welcome. Discounted rate for E-5 and below and siblings.

Art camps & workshops for military kids & teens, guided by professional artists who were also raised in military families. Scholarships are available. This program is now based out of the Richmond area.

King Pinz Bowling Center located on Fort Eustis in Newport News, VA. Open to individuals and families with base access. 24 lanes featuring automatic scoring, new Edge-String pinspotters, and bumpers for all ages. Participant in Kids Bowl Free Program (link to details)

The Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs at Fort Eustis include programs for all ages. Programs for children (offered seasonally) include dance, youth sports such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, cheerleading, fun runs, and robotics. Summer camps available.

Freedom Lanes on NAS Oceana offers 16 professionally maintained lanes, cosmic bowling nights, birthday parties and special events. The center is open to active duty, veterans, DoW employees, and civilians with base access.

Gator Bowl is the largest Navy bowling facility in the area with 32 lanes and hosts an impressive list of amenities including a full snack bar featuring bar service, pool tables, and pro shop. Light and Life Therapy is a new mental health office in Norfolk, with current availability. We are actively accepting clients and referrals for both in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. Our office is conveniently located within walking distance of the Light Rail and Sentara Leigh Hospital. We offer support for a variety of needs, including trauma, Faith-based counseling Creative Arts Interventions (Music, Art, Dance Therapy Individual, Group, Couples, and Family Therapy Grief & Loss Life Transitions Sexually reactive behaviors Borderline Personality Disorder Military clients Trauma & PTSD Depression & Anxity ADHD and so much more. Our therapeutic modalities encompass individual, group, and family therapy, as well as dance/movement therapy and creative arts (music, art, poetry, drama).
