4-H is the youth (ages 5 to 19) development education program of Virginia Cooperative Extension. 4-H is rich with learning experiences where young people partner with caring adults and volunteers in a fellowship unlike any other program available to youth today. During the summer, 4-H offers a range of day and residential (overnight) camps.

Parents and kids can expect a fun, quality educational experience along with superior safety standards and low counselor-to-camper ratios. Caring, well-trained counselors help ensure an action-packed week of laughing and learning for all. So if you're looking for a different species of Day Camp - you've found it! Ages 6-16. Camp Launch is a two-week residential summer program for rising seventh- through tenth-grade high-ability students from low-income households. Students participate in courses centered around science, writing, and personal development—designed specifically to challenge and inspire this population of learners.

Day camp for girls entering grades 1-12. Swimming, Ropes Course, Archery, Hiking, Canoeing, Crafts and more.

Catalillies Play Cafe is an indoor play space for children 0-7. We host regular playschool and open play sessions. Private rental available for birthday parties and baby showers.

Coastal Crush is a nonprofit league that has Fall and Spring season as well as skill clinics.  Girls and Boys Fall Lacrosse all skill levels.  Girls from Kindergarten through High School.  Boys Kindergarten through 8th grade.  Join the fun learning and playing lacrosse.  Certified coaches are ready to share their knowledge.

At The James River Association summer camps, youth don’t just learn about the river—they explore it, paddle it, sketch it, fish it, and build real skills alongside experienced educators. Through hands-on activities in art, fishing, outdoor skills, and paddling, campers gain confidence, curiosity, and a deeper sense of belonging to the James River. Every day is an adventure. Every experience builds connection. No experience needed—just curiosity and clothes that can get dirty. Ages 9-15.

Charles City, James City, and New Kent 4-H Junior Camp is a week-long, residential summer camp program available primarily to residents of James City County and City of Williamsburg ages 9-13. Camp is held every year at the Jamestown 4-H Educational Center in Williamsburg, VA. 4-H camp provides youth countless opportunities to develop responsibility, independence, and life skills in a camp setting while interacting with the natural world around them. Days are filled with camp classes, unstructured recreation and swim time, flag ceremonies, evening programs, and campfires!  At age 14, campers will automatically serve as Counselors-in-Training (CIT) during camp. Please note that the James City County Virginia Cooperative Extension office is in charge of the planning for and processing registration of our week of 4-H Junior Camp for James City/Williamsburg residents. Jamestown 4-H Educational Center is the facility we use during the week for camp programming.
