The Ability Center of Virginia delivers programs and services to children and adults with disabilities throughout Hampton Roads, the Peninsula, Virginia’s Eastern Shore and the Commonwealth of Virginia. With our team of experienced educators, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment that empowers and educates learners and their families of their rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and all federal protections for people with special needs. We strive to build a respectful community for all marginalized students; this helps to ensure they receive instruction, support and accommodations to access the general education curriculum and find success. We are dedicated to empowering families to learn how to advocate effectively. We also offer tutoring services to any student in need regardless of ability and grade level.

We assist you in advocating for the special education and related services your child requires. Our team participates in IEP meetings with parents to help secure the services their children need. We also file state and federal complaints against school districts that violate laws protecting students with disabilities. Furthermore, we provide coaching to help parents gain the knowledge and skills to effectively advocate at IEP meetings.

Agape Consulting's ABA Direct Therapy Program provides one to one direct ABA therapy to children and adults with ASD and developmental delays from as early as 2 years old. We provide in home services as well as in clinic services at our Norfolk Center.
