Free Iconicon Event (Suffolk)

Did you know that Suffolk has it’s very own Iconicon event? It is this weekend!

Where: North Suffolk Library 2000 Bennett’s Creek Park Road Suffolk VA

When: Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 10am-3pm

Cost: Free, open to the public (all ages)

Description: The Suffolk Public Library hosts the multi-fandom IconiCon in the spring each year. Join us for the biggest free gathering of Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Comic and Anime fans in the area. Gaming Tournament, Cosplay Contest, Fan Art Contest, battle re-creations, Vendors and more! This event is FREE and for all ages.

• 10am – 2pm: Non-Stop Anime hosted by the TCC Chesapeake Anime Club
• 10am – 2pm: Superhero Academy with crafts, obstacle course, capes, masks and games
• 10am – 2pm: Anime Karaoke, Retro Video Games, 3D Printing Demonstrations and Man Points Podcast
• 10am – 2pm: Tabletop Games with Tidewater Area Gaming Society
• 10am – 2pm Society for Creative Anachronism: They will be bringing the Middle Ages and the Renaissance to our Gazebo area featuring battles, meet and greets, and much more.
• 10:30am Old Dominion Daleks: Presentation on the history of the Daleks with an audience Q&A session to follow.
• 10:30am: Superhero Storytime
• 11am – 2pm: Chick-fil-A Harbour View will be onsite selling food
• 11:30am: Lego Stop-Motion
• 11:30am – 12:15pm ManPoints! Podcast will share their secrets of how they got started in podcasting and have since been listed in iTunes Top 25 podcasts and how others can get started podcasting too.
• 12:15pm – 1:15pm: Superhero Family Feud, Team registration is required.
• 1:30pm – 2:15pm: Brawl for All Gaming Tournament with a $50.00 gift card to OldSkool Video Games for the winner, Registration is required.
• 2:30pm: Cosplay Contest Runway hosted by the TCC Chesapeake Anime Club
• 3:15pm: Announcement of Fan Art Contest winners by the TCC Chesapeake Anime Club
