Daytime Activity: Here you will find tickets for the Fort Monroe Ghost Walk: Where History Meets Mystery Daytime Program. If you are someone who prefers to explore the Fort in the light of day then you can purchase this $10 daytime program ticket. Tickets must be purchased online. No tickets will be sold onsite. With purchase of this ticket you may take the tour at your convenience between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM on the day of your choosing from October 19th to the 25th. When you arrive at the Commanding General’s Residence you will receive a wristband, and a password to unlock the History and Mystery of Fort Monroe on this self-guided walking tour. You will collect clues that lead you around the Fort and learn about the history and mysterious occurrences that have taken place on Fort Monroe.
Evening Activity: Join us in the evenings, Monday, October 19th through Sunday October 25th from 5:15 PM to 10:35 PM with time-slots starting every 45 minutes. The final time slot will start at 9:00 PM. Groups can range from 3 to 6 people depending on your comfort level. Tickets must be purchased online. No tickets will be sold onsite.
There are two paths: 1. Edgar Allan Poe Path
. By choosing Poe’s Path you will be helping the Master at Arms solve his cold case. Once you collect the clues from within the Commanding Generals Residence you will make your way to each location where you will learn the stories and history of Fort Monroe by scanning QR codes as you collect information to solve the case as one of Edgar Allan Poe’s most famous tales unfolds around you. Tickets are for groups of three (3) to six (6) individuals and priced accordingly.
2. Ulysses S. Grant Path. On the Grant Path you will be collecting clues to bring to General Grant on Fort Monroe so that he can lay the ground work for his famous Overland Campaign which he is said to have worked on during his time on Fort Monroe in Old Quarters 1. Once you collect the clues from within the Commanding Generals Residence you will make your way to each location where you will learn the stories and history of Fort Monroe via scannable QR codes as you collect information to retrieve for General Grant.

Activity: Each year around Halloween, the Norfolk Masonic Temple transforms into the Haunted Temple. Actors take on the roles of creepy clowns, spirits, ghosts, and undead to bring the visitor’s nightmares to life, and the state-of-the-art animatronics and special effects ram up the terror. Those who emerge on the other end of the maze can wind down with a slice of pizza or a drink.

Activity: Discover a tale of murder and mayhem in this interactive tour of the Hunter House where you help solve the murder of a local club owner in the 1940s. Costumes are encouraged but not required by guests. Entry will occur every thirty minutes for groups of 4-6 to maintain social distancing. Masks are required by all guests over the age of ten. Join us for an immersive ghost hunting experience as we explore the letters, legal records, and psychic research collected over the past year in an attempt to understand what lies BENEATH THE SURFACE. This limited-run series is presented in conjunction with Patrick Mullins, the Virginia Stage Company, and Norfolk State University Theatre Company. Activity: Members of the Haunted Nights Crew were able to spend a full weekend aboard the ship back in January of this year to investigate claims of possible paranormal activity that has been taking place. This ship did not disappoint. From shadow figures, to full body apparitions, these are just some of the claims that were presented to us before we boarded. The feeling of being watched as you move throughout the ship is ever present. Now it's time to bring you along with us to see what all we can piece together about the claims of activity aboard the USS Wisconsin on a full overnight adventure. Bring your cots, sleeping bags, mats, or whatever you would like if you plan to catch a snooze before wrapping up at 8am the following morning.

Activity: Based on the Jack-the-Ripper Walks in London, participants in the annual Olde Towne GhostWalk will be treated to some of the most haunting stories of Portsmouth’s past. Guides take spectators on a walk past haunted houses and mansions of Olde Towne, a 20-square block, 500 building area on the National Register of Historic Places. At each house on the tour, actors in appropriate costume will retell the legends of ghostly visitations and things that go bump in the night. Cameras are welcome.
