Sunflower and Wildflower Fields in Hampton Roads VA

Fields of wildflowers and sunflowers are gorgeous, make beautiful backdrops for photographs, and bringing them home brings a little bit of sunshine indoors! There are lots of u-pick flower farms and fields that have opened throughout Hampton Roads, here are the ones we know about!

Sunflower/Wildflower Fields in Hampton Roads

Picking Information: Location only open during the Fall season. Be sure to check their social media for updates before heading to the farm.

BROWDER’S FRESH PICKINS 14489 Bethel Church Lane, Smithfield, VA 23430

Description: Seasonal Upick Sunflowers 
Picking Information: CLOSED for the 2026 Fall Season. The farm is not growing fall crops this year. Be sure to check their website link or social media for updates before heading to the farm.

CULLIPHER FARM 772 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach VA 23457 | (757) 721-7456

Description: Seasonal U-pick Sunflowers
Picking Information: OPEN for the 2026 Fall Season. The first sunflower field opens in late summer, with rotating fields continuing into October, weather permitting. No ticket is needed to walk through the fields and take photos. Cut your own to take home for $2 a flower. Bring your own clippers (a few are available first come, first served).
Hours: Sunflower fields are open Tuesday through Sunday, 9am to 6pm (closed Mondays).
No pets are allowed on the farm. Photographers, please review the farm’s photography policy before your visit.

  • Picking Information: Sunflower picking generally begins in late May and runs through summer and fall, weather permitting. Check their Facebook page or text (757) 560-6763 for current availability before heading out to the farm.

  • Description: Seasonal Upick for Wildflowers and Lavender.
  • Picking Information: CLOSED until mid-May 2027. Open seasonally for Wildflowers & Lavender ???? Be sure to check their website link or social media for updates before heading to the farm.

  • Description: Seasonal Upick Lavender and Sunflowers. Under the Stars Farm is a lavender farm specializing in u-pick & specialty events.
