Local Opportunity for Preschools & Daycares

If you own or operate a local preschool or daycare program in Hampton Roads, this information is for you! An easy way to incorporate health curriculum at no cost to your program:

Funding has been awarded to implement the Healthy Alternatives for Little Ones (HALO) program in Hampton Roads area preschools. The HALO program provides a holistic health curriculum for children 3-6 years old in early learning settings. It is a great opportunity for preschools and daycares to get involved in improving child health in our community.

There are currently 24 early learning classrooms participating and more are needed! All that is required local early learning centers is a commitment to participate in the program. Trained local staff will teach the HALO lessons for the entire first year and purchase the curriculum kit and training materials. There will be NO COST to the center, and each location will reap the benefits of helping to improve the health of the children they serve!
