Description: Stuck in a small town and a loveless marriage, diner waitress Jenna finds herself dreaming of a different life. Finding her way is anything but easy, until she plucks up the courage to enter her pie in a county baking contest. The blue-ribbon winner sets her on a path to a fresh start—maybe with the town’s new doctor. Based on the movie of the same name, this story was adapted for Broadway by an all-female creative team, including pop singer Sara Bareilles, whose songs are “joyous and rollicking!” according to the New York Times.
