Wednesday, July 2nd: Blow – Explore the power of air and step into a whirlwind of creativity at Wonder Wednesday Blow on July 2.

Reimagine the verb “blow” through activities, sounds, and bubbles to appreciate how the invisible power of air can be used to make art. Hot Gumbo Brass Band will perform, and visitors will enjoy opportunities to create with blow paint, pinwheels, and bubble wands. Join us for a morning of wind, whimsy, and wonder.

Wednesday, July 9th: Carve – Get ready to dig in, scratch out, and stamp your creativity at Wonder Wednesday Carve on July 9.

Join us for a lineup of interactive activities that explore what lies beneath the surface through texture, layers, and imagination. This day is packed with hands-on fun for all ages, including colorful scratch designs, totem carving, and geology exploration. Be awed by ice sculpting and win a prize in a scavenger hunt. Join us to carve out some fun.

Wednesday, July 16th: Weave – Thread your way through an exciting day of creativity and storytelling at Wonder Wednesday Weave on July 16.

From hands-on activities to cultural traditions, you’ll discover how weaving isn’t just about threads, it’s about stories, memories, and making something together. Make your own dream catcher, practice your weaving, contribute to a collaborative story, and hear the stirring folk tales of storyteller, Via Goode. What kind of day will you weave at Wonder Wednesday?  

Wednesday, July 23rd: Light – Step into a dazzling day of hands-on art and play at Wonder Wednesday Light on July 23.

From glowing creations to storytelling with shadows, the day is packed with fun. Experiment with glow-in-the-dark creations, discover shadow puppets, make stained glass with film, and enjoy a Shadow Play premier. The scavenger hunt and engaging gallery activities round out the illuminating experience.

Wednesday July 30th: Mix – Mix things up at Wonder Wednesday Mix on July 30.

Today celebrates the joy and creativity of combining colors, materials, and even voices. Join us for a lineup of interactive activities that spark the imagination through mixing, including creating a color wheel, printing with gelli and ink, experimenting with mixed media, and enjoying a vocal performance by the Doorway Singers, who blend their voices and music styles. Mix up summer by coming out for the final Wonder Wednesday.
