Museums Alive! (Outdoor Event)

A new OUTDOOR event that celebrates the great local museums in Hampton Roads!

Where: Five Points Neighborhood Spot 6123 Sewells Point Ave, Norfolk VA

When: Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 330-530pm (NEW DATE!)

Cost: Free!

Description: Our local arts and cultural institutions have so much to offer our community: Education, creativity, discovery and spaces to grow.
Come learn about:
*Life in the Museum Field
*Programs and Services Available to the Public
*Current and Upcoming Exhibitions

The museums will provide family-friendly activities, and artist Bardia Saeedi’s “Cool Bus” community painting project will be on-site until the end of the day!

From 2-3 pm, OpenNorfolk will host a panel of local curators to discuss the state of museums in our regional and national culture.

Dr. Kimberli Gant of the Chrysler Museum
Prof. Solomon Isekeije of Norfolk State University
Kenlontae’ Turner of the Hampton University Museum

Moderated by Asa Jackson, co-founder of the Contemporary Arts Network
