Many of you have seen posts from the Virginia Aquarium on social media about the amazing wildlife sightings that have been happening regularly through their Winter Wildlife Boat Trips.

This year we are thrilled to bring back this giveaway for tickets to the Winter Wildlife Boat Trips! Two lucky MyActiveChild.com families will each win a pair of tickets!

Guests of the Virginia Aquarium Winter Wildlife Boat Trips have been seeing all sorts of wildlife including humpback whales, fin whales, bottlenose dolphins, common dolphins, and lots of sea birds!

Winter Wildlife Boat Trips

Take a two and a half hour adventure to search for humpback whales, fin whales, and other wildlife that visit the Virginia Beach coast during the winter. Experienced educators provide interpretation, describe current research conducted by the Aquarium, and answer questions during the trip.

Fee: $28 Adults; $24 Children ages 4-11

Notes: Winter Wildlife trips depart from the Virginia Beach Fishing Center (VBFC) at Rudee Inlet. Make advance reservations through the Guest Services Office at the Aquarium, or purchase tickets at VBFC starting one hour before trip departures. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed and trips may be cancelled due to unsafe boating conditions.

• Jan 3-March 16 on Thur. and Fri at 2 p.m.; Sat at 9 a.m., noon, and 3 p.m.; Sun at noon and 3 p.m.
