Art and Math Camp - Sessions available: July 8-12, August 5-9

Students will do things such as create drawings, origami sculptures, and use Sculpey clay for individual and group works. Learn about the works of painter Piet Mondrian, the Golden Mean, the Cubist movement, and much more during this week-long session. In art, mathematics is not always visible, but it is ever-present through symmetry, geometry, and measurement. Create projects like kinetic wire sculptures, and explore the use of mixed media like paint, metal, wood, wire, and beads.
Art and Community - Session available: July 15-19
Art can be inspired and enhanced by the community it is produced in. Learn how art and community connect through conceptual and interactive group projects. Students will focus on painting and mixed media to create projects like a movable mural and construction of a model art space. Emphasis is on individual interpretation and creative problem solving.
Art and Leadership - Session available: July 22-26
Through fun, thought-provoking artmaking experiences, participants will unpack concepts related to leadership and utilize their creative skills to share insights into who and what they value. Activities include experimenting with paint to discuss risk-taking, examining the power of symbols, collaborative art making, and more! As with art, leadership arouses creative energy, provides inspiration, and promotes self expression. Students will delve into art and leadership while exploring right/ left brain thinking, risk taking, project planning, and collaboration. Learn processes like photo transfer of painted images onto wood. Explore the use of mixed media like paint, metal, wood, wire, and beads in project work.
