Where: Nauticus, One Waterside Drive, Norfolk VA

When: Exhibit open June 12 – October 10, 2021

Cost: Included with museum admission, free for Nauticus members. Purchase tickets/memberships here.

Description: Just in time for a record-setting summer travel season, Nauticus is introducing a 5,000 square-foot family exhibit that celebrates travel and transportation.  Created by the renowned Scitech in Perth, Australia, Going Places: The Technology of Transport is a fully interactive exhibition that allows visitors to fly a plane, ride a hovercraft, race a recumbent bicycle, and learn to fly a drone.  Guests also learn how to drive a train, race sailing yachts, and pack luggage efficiently.  One DIY station allows guests to design their own city and transportation grid, while another challenges families to design their own car – from engine to body shape.
