A great attraction for everyone who loves butterflies...and who doesn't love butterflies???
Norfolk Botanical Garden will open the doors of the Butterfly House for Summer 2019 on June 15th. Come walk through the enclosed structure and observe butterflies up-close as they fly throughout the house and land on their favorite nectar flowers.
A great learning experience for the kids where they have the opportunity to learn the habits and life cycles of these beautiful creatures.
The Butterfly House is included with regular Garden admission and (as of June 15th) is open daily from 10am-7pm. When you're done in the Butterfly House head over to the 2 acre Bristow Butterfly Garden that includes a giant Butterfly Maze! This giant maze is in the shape of a butterfly and covers ½ an acre. It includes more than 1500 linear feet of pathways.
Bonus Info: Save the date for the Butterfly Festival on July 13, 2019 when visitors will enjoy educational booths and demonstrations, as well as activities for butterfly enthusiasts of all ages. The Festival will include butterfly activities in WOW, gardening information, up-close experience with butterflies, and much more.
