Homeschool Day at Virginia Living Museum (Newport News)

For the Littles: “Firefly”
Time: 9:15am-9:45am
Participants: Recommended ages 3-5
Join our special time for the little homeschoolers as we read a story, do a craft, and meet an ambassador animal. This month, we will go on a journey with a firefly!
Price: $6 child member, $17 child non-member, member adults free (but must have ticket), non-member adults $18. Museum admission is included in ticket price.
Nature Detectives: How do things fly?
Time: 10:00am-10:45am, 11:00am-11:45am
Participants: Recommended ages 6+
Nature is full of mysteries! Join us as we explore important questions about animals and nature. This month, we will explore how things fly, including the properties of flight and how different animals utilize flight.
Price: $6 child member, $17 child non-member, member adults free (but must have ticket), non-member adults $18. Museum admission is included in ticket price.
STEM Exploration: Physics of Flight
Time: 10:30am-12:00pm
Participants: Must be 12+
Join us as we dive into STEM exploration, gaining a broader understanding of how our natural world works. This month, we will explore the physics of flight, with hands-on flight experiments and an examination of how birds utilize flight.
Price: $14 student member, $26 student non-member. One adult may accompany each student, but must have valid museum admission and are participating in an observational capacity only. Museum admission is included in ticket price.
