Please welcome our new advertising partner Tidewater Volleyball Association! Read about the different options they provide Hampton Roads youth (ages 3 to 18) in their overview below:
Tidewater Volleyball Association is one of the largest and oldest volleyball organizations on the east coast. Going into its 51st year, Tidewater Volleyball offers a wide variety of camps and clinics for children of between the ages of 3 and 18. We have received awards from the Virginian-Pilot as BEST OF Virginia Beach as a Children's Fitness Program. We work with local coaches and athletes to create an environment that is both fun, challenging, and diverse. We offer camps for all skill levels and are known for partnering with some of the top coaches around the nation to provide camps that are second to none.
TVA prides itself as a place where children of all ages can come and learn the game we love. Our caring and professional staff work with ages as young as three and as old as 18 to provide a safe, fun learning environment to the children of Hampton Roads. Our camps and clinics have won the BEST OF Virginia Beach awards the past two years from the Virginian-Pilot in the area of Children's Fitness Program. We are excited to see what is in store for these children as they progress through our challenging curriculum. Check out this video of our Volley Academy Course that is available for children ages 7 to 10.
Our youth leagues provide a unique experience for local children to come in have fun and learn how to play the game we love. Our focus in the leagues is to progress through the skills of the game and develop the complete player. Our leagues incorporate techniques and skills learned from various national grassroots programs throughout the world including USA, Brazil, China, and France to name a few. This has created a unique learning and playing experience that isn’t found anywhere else in the world.
College/Professional Satellite Camps:
In the past five years TVA has had the opportunity to work with over 20 different NCAA coaching staffs to provide learning experiences for area youth. Many of these partnerships have helped bring attention to the area. In addition to working with college coaching staffs, we have also had the opportunity to work with professional and Olympic athletes such as Ryan Ammerman (2014), Jayson Jablonsky (2014), and three-time Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor (2013 & 2015). We are always looking to work with professionals to help bring our area to a higher level and we are very fortunate to be a place that these coaches and athletes can come to share their knowledge of the game.
