Local Volunteer Opportunities: Youth & Families
I get asked (a lot) about local volunteer opportunities for families.
There are lots of ways to volunteer locally for individual events – (a great resource for adults is VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads, and Youth Volunteer Corps of Hampton Roads has regular opportunities for youth (grades 6-12) to volunteer, but there are not many marketed as opportunities for families to volunteer together.
If you look at the individual opportunities though, some of them allow for younger family members are long as they are supervised by a parent/adult.
