Kids to Parks Day is a nationally coordinated day designed to connect kids and families with their local, state, and national parks.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of National Public Lands Day, so Virginia State Parks will celebrate Public Lands Week, Sept. 22-29 with all parking fees waived on Saturday, September 22nd!

Relax as you paddle your way through the unspoiled natural areas surrounding Back Bay. Paddle under the stars, with glowsticks illuminating your kayak.

What a perfect excuse to pop the tent in the backyard, tell scary stories and make s’mores over a fire (or grill). Let’s face it, camping is FUN.

Getting outside should be easy enough to do with the warm weather and all of the activities and events happening this weekend!
