Spring into Summer Reading Challenge 2020

Summer Reading Challenge VBPL

I love the way that local libraries across the country are stepping up to help people in their communities… from storytimes on social media, craft projects to do at home, a huge online library of books and resources (in some locations even a library card by phone if you don’t already have one), and so much more.

Virginia Beach Public Library is jumping into Summer Reading early this year with the “Spring Into Summer” Reading Challenge!

Description: The Virginia Beach Public Library is here to support your child or teen in their continued reading and learning through these unprecedented times. While our buildings might not be open to the public, our hearts remain in public service. So, we would like to invite you to kickstart your summer reading early with the Spring into Summer Reading Challenge!

To participate, log your reading in Beanstack.

New This Year: Participate in weekly enrichment activities to keep your brain sharp through fun activity badges. Each week, readers that complete 3 activities will unlock the activity badge and be entered to win coupons to food venues that offer drive-through or take-out. The coupons will be mailed to each winner’s home until the library buildings reopen.

Note: Traditional Summer Reading Challenge prizes can also be earned now and will be available for pick up when the library reopens.

More Information (including how to earn each prize) is Available HERE.
