September 11th Remembrance

September 11 Remembrance

I was parking my car several blocks away from my office, near Symphony Hall in Boston, when the report first came over the radio. A day that started out like any other, that would change us all, forever.

Everyone old enough to remember that day knows exactly where they were the morning of September 11, 2001. Here are local events in Hampton Roads to honor all who were lost during the 9/11 tragedy. #neverforget

If you know of an event that should be added to this list please submit it here.

We will meet at Firehouse Coffee 1881 on Fort Monroe as they have opened their doors to us for this special event. We will have a 5K, 9.11K and 9.11Mile route marked for all to choose their distance. Our runs through our neighborhoods highlight our mission, our commitment to one another, and our dedication to honoring the fallen. We become the living memorial.
