Open Call: Get Real

Eastern Virginia Medical School is conducting a Get Real Open Call to engage the community in an open dialogue about the new Family Life Education curriculum in local public schools: Get Real: Comprehensive Sex Education That Works. 

Results will be used to support a pilot Get Real program for middle and high school students, with the support of the Virginia Department of Health.

Get Real emphasizes social and emotional skills as a key component of healthy relationships and responsible decision-making. The information provided is medically accurate, age-appropriate.

About the Open Call: $2,500 in prizes will be awarded to winning submissions and participants. Winning submissions will be shared to support the implementation of the Get Real program services in public schools. We strongly believe that collective voices and ideas will help make a difference.
