Nature’s Road Show: What Is It? Event

VLM-WhatisitDay-2012.jpg

This event is for all of you who have children who love to collect things they find outside!

We have a great collection of rocks sitting by our back door. I’m fairly certain they are all rocks, but if your child (or you!) have found something interesting outdoors and don’t know what it is this could be a fun opportunity to identify it!

Virginia Living Museum staff will work to identify any fossils, shells, outdoor finds, etc that you bring in on Sunday, March 10, 2013 as a part of their Nature’s Road Show: What Is It? Event!

NOTE from VLM: We cannot keep items for identification purposes nor can we offer value or appraisals. It is illegal to collect most bird items. Please do not bring any in. Do bring in the bone, the rock , the fossil, the “what’s-its” and share your stories.

Date: Sunday, March 10, 2013 from

Address: The Virginia Living Museum 524 J Clyde Morris Boulevard Newport News, VA 23601

Price: This event is free with admission to Virginia Living Museum. For current admission rates click HERE.
