Informational Forum: Internet Safety and Child Trafficking and Exploitation

A FREE discussion led by Bon Secours Family Focus and an FBI Agent on Internet Safety and Child Trafficking and Exploitation. If your child goes online this is something you don’t want to miss. Kids (6th graders and up) are welcome to attend with a parent/guardian. FREE and open to everyone. Snacks and Door Prizes for the Children.

When: Wednesday, February 26, 2020, from 6 – 7:30pm

Description: The FBI Agent will brief on the dangers lurking on the Internet that target our children and how Traffickers may target minor children through social media, telephone chat lines, after-school programs, as well as at shopping malls and bus stops, in clubs, or through friends or acquaintances who recruit students on school campuses.

The FBI Agent will speak on how various police departments and Agencies in the area work together to bring these predators to justice. A few cases will be detailed so the audience can grasp how law enforcement is tackling these issues. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.

Questions you may want answers to:

How do I talk to my child about Internet safety? How can I safely protect my child’s phone?

Can child trafficking be done on the Internet? What are some Internet safety tips?

What can parents do to protect their child on the Internet?

What are warning signs of a child being targeted by an Online predator?

What are the “codes” my child maybe using on their phone? Internet? 

Speak Up Kids; Is there an adult you can talk to about these issues?
