OCTOBER
October 11, 2014: Smithfield Hog Jog
Location: Smithfield, VA
Event: The Hog Jog is a standard 5K the, Wild Hog is a mystery course, (4.0 miles this year), runners only. Festivities start at 7am.
Cost: Entry fee $20
Benefits: Isle of Wight Christian Outreach
October 11, 2014: Boo-Yah 5k and Fun Run
Location: Port Norfolk, Portsmouth VA
Event: 5k and Fun Run (with costumes!) Festivities kick off at 8:30am.
Cost: $35 registration for the 5K and $5 on the Fun Run, registrations will be accepted the day of the race.
Benefits: Port Norfolk Civic League and The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia
October 12, 2014: Beach Monster Dash and Spooky 1 Mile
Location: 17th Street Park on the Virginia Beach boardwalk
Event: 5K Walk/Run, 1 Mile Kids Fun Run. Festivities kick off at 8:00am
Cost: $40 5K, $20 Fun Run
Benefits:American Heart Association
October 25, 2014 Wicked 10k and Moster Mile
Location: Virginia Beach Convention Center, Virginia Beach
Event: 10K and Fun Run. Festivities kick off at 6:30 am, Costumes highly encouraged
Cost: $60 for 10K, $20 for Fun Run (Increase of $5 each on 10/24, no registration the day of the event)
Benefits: The Noblemen
NOVEMBER
November 1, 2014: Race for Breath
Location: 24th Street Entrance to Boardwalk at Virginia Beach Oceanfront
Event: 5k and 1mile Fun Run, Festivities kick off at 8:45am
Cost: $30 for 5K, $20 for Fun Run
Benefits: Free to Breath
November 8, 2014: Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis
Location: Virginia Beach Oceanfront at 24th Street Stage
Event: 5K, 3K and Children’s Fun Run. Festivities start at 8:00am
Cost: $30 for 5K/3K, $15 for Fun Run
Benefits: The fight against arthritis
November 21-November 23: Harbor Lights Weekend
Location:Towne Point Park in Norfolk, VA
Event: 5k, Final Mile, and Half Marathon, Events kick off Friday November 21 with the Sports & Fitness Expo.
Cost: $20 for Fun Run, $100 Half Marathon, $45 5K (all costs increase as event gets closer)
Benefits: Charities include Wings Over America and The Noblemen
THANKSGIVING DAY
November 27, 2014: Tidewater Striders Turkey Trot
Location: Family Friendly Mt. Trashmore Family YMCA, Kicks off at 7:00 am
Event: 10K and One Mile Run
Cost: $18 before November 16th
November 27, 2014: Blue Talon Bistro Turkey Trot
Location: Prince George Street, Merchant Square, Williamsburg VA
Event: 5K and Kid’s Run
Cost: $30 for 5K, $15 for Kid’s Run
Benefits: Avalon- A Center for Women & Children
