October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Awareness Month and I am thrilled to partner with local author Allyn L. Howard to give away 3 copies of her book ‘What They Said’ to help bring attention to the many dogs and cats in shelters that need homes with Active Families like yours!

Allyn’s family adopted their dog Harry Potter from the Virginia Beach SPCA and he was the inspiration for this story written for children (ages infant-5 years) about the love, patience, and responsibility that comes with having a pet. Read more about Harry Potter here.

The Virginia Beach SPCA will receive a portion of royalties from the sale of this book and THREE MyActiveChild families will receive a copy as a part of this giveaway!
