Free Summer Safety Event for Children with Autism

The Autism Society of Tidewater is hosting a Summer Safety event for local families who have children with autism.

Where: YMCA at JT’s Camp Grom 1181 Prosperity Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23451

When: Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 1:30-4:30pm. RSVP by calling 757-461-4474.

Description: FREE SafeAssured ID Kits for registered families at our upcoming Summer Safety Event!

Representatives from the Virginia Beach Community Engagement Unit and Virginia Beach Project Lifesaver will be on hand to walk families through the process. Each kit takes 10/15 minutes to complete, therefore, we must assign each family a time slot.

Kits will be done at the Adventure Center Building at Camp Grom, and families will be provided a wellness check upon arrival along with masks and sanitizer.

There is no charge for the kit and additional safety and sensory resources provided, but donations are always welcome.

Chapter Operations Manager, Nicole Miller, will confirm your time slot via email after you have called and provided her with all the necessary information.

Questions: If you have any questions or are not yet part of the Tidewater Autism meetup group, email [email protected] or call 757-461-4474
