Christmas with the Griswolds (Online)

Description: Light up your holidays and join Christmas’s favorite couple, Ellen and Clark Griswold for this virtual salute to the holiday classic, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.  Chevy Chase (Clark) and Beverly D’Angelo (Ellen) lead audiences through this live event as they share fan-favorite clips from the movie, reveal their favorite memories from the making of the Vacation franchise, and answer your questions in a live audience Q & A.

Helping from Home for the Holiday Giving Day - An Evening With Le'Andria Johnson (Online)

When: Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 6:30pm
Description: NPFV hosts annual fundraisers and campaign drives—Spring Jazz Hat Luncheon and Tidewater Top Chef Culinary Extravaganza. This event with Le'Andria Johnson is a gift giving day for the holidays which will be support our mission to award scholarships, contribute to charitable organizations, and fund community service programs. 

It's a Wonderful Life - A Live Radio Play (Online)

Where: Little Theatre of Virginia Beach - Online production
When: Live shows have been canceled, it is now available online. Tickets for our online showing (beginning December 18) of It's A Wonderful Life:  A Live Radio Play will go on sale soon!
Description: This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble of 5 people that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.

Christmas Drive-In Concert (Newport News)

Where: Church parking lot at Warwick Memorial UMC 38 Hoopes Rd, Newport News, VA
When: Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 2pm  
What: Join us on Saturday, December 5th at 2pm right in the church parking lot for a special concert performed by The Hardwick Family. That's right, you know you've missed them, and now the little ones are part of the performance too! They are putting together a special Christmas medley of fun music for you to enjoy right in your car, steamed through your radio station.  You will be given the details upon arrival as to what to do. Sadly, if it rains, the even will be cancelled.  Try to arrive between 1:45 and 2pm so everyone can be parked and ready to enjoy the music. We only have room for as many cars that will fit in the parking lot.  Please do not leave your cars, you cannot sit outside the car on a lawn chair.  It will be about a 30 minute show.  

The Great Christmas Carol Escape (Online)

Where: Online
When: December 9 - 22, 2020. Max Capacity: 10 Participants and 4 streams per session Length: 50 minutes. 
Cost: $75 per session (10% Discount for 3 or more sessions) 
Description: Presented by Virginia Stage Company AVAILABLE DECEMBER 9 THROUGH DECEMBER 22 Join Jacob Marley (live!) in rescuing Scrooge from a life of eternal chains in this hour-long gamified performance via Zoom. This fun and interactive virtual event brings the characters of A Christmas Carol to life, and is a great activity for businesses and families!

It's a Wonderful Life (Virginia Beach)

Where: Kempsville Presbyterian Church Virginia Beach, VA 
When: December 10, 11 & 12, 2020. Thursday 7pm. Friday 7pm. Saturday 2pm & 7pm
Cost: $15-$35 + fees
Description: Local production of It's a Wonderful Life by KPC Theatre Arts Ministry (in-person event).

Regent University's 2020 Christmas Special (Online)

Where: Online
When: Friday, December 11, 2020 @ 8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Description: Enjoy the sounds of the season with our Regent University Christmas Special from the comfort of your own home. Filmed in Regent’s Communication & Performing Arts Center’s elegant lobby, this spectacular musical performance features the Regent University Choir and Chamber Choir performing with acapella groups Regent Singers and First Edition. Sing along to a mix of holiday favorites that celebrate Christ’s birth and capture the spirit of Christmas. Performances include The First Noel, Mary, Did You Know? and others. Directed by Choral Activities Director Dr. Don Krudop, and produced by professor Mike Sinclair with students in the cinema-television department, this concert will bring Christmas joy to the entire family. 

Waiting Up For Santa (Online)

Hurrah Players Pop-Up Performance (Virginia Beach)

Where: The Zeiders American Dream Theater's Balcony, 4509 Commerce St, Virginia Beach, VA
When: December 12, 2020 at 1pm
Cost: Free
Description: Hurrah is popping up in VB Town Center to serenade the community from The Zeiders American Dream Theater's Balcony. We are so sad not to see you all at our shows this year so we decided to come to you! Our students will be safely singing our favorite Holidays songs to bring some cheer and joy.

Dave Koz & Friends "The Greatest Hits of Christmas" 2020 A Live, Virtual Concert (Online)

Description: Due to the ongoing health risks of COVID-19, we are sadly unable to mount our 23rd Annual Dave Koz and Friends Christmas Tour. Description: Join the Virginia Chorale for the premiere of our 37th season! Sing we Nowell will be presented online as a gift to our community. The singers and special guests will welcome the holidays in this hour-long concert of sparkling songs and carols. Out of the Bag - Carols for an Uncommon Christmas (Online)

Description: Don't miss this Original Video Christmas Album Premiere! Back for their annual tradition, albeit a virtual one this year, the irrepressible Msesippi and her “grunge-grass” band Tornado Bait, along with special co-host, former Daily Press music and entertainment writer Mike Holtzclaw, present an evening of original home-grown holiday tunes featuring the talents of The Fuzz Band, Bobby Blackhat, Lonely Tear Drops, Anna Tozzi & Vanessa Pazmino, Inferior Brain Power, Ryan Chris and The Rough Cuts, Jack Green, Uglyography and more! Virginia Arts Festival & The Sandler Center Present... (Virginia Beach)

The Hurrah Players: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Online)

What: Based on the popular book by Barbara Robinson, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is the funny, heartwarming, and mildly irreverent story of what happens when a church play is hijacked by six of the 'absolutely worst kids in the history of the world'. A holiday tradition for 29 years, this event is presented with Happy Hanukkah, My Friend; a short program celebrating the Festival of Lights.
