The Hermitage Visual Arts Studio is the perfect place to introduce children to the world of art. Their popular Summer Art camps combine fun activities and creative learning to encourage kids to appreciate all forms of art.
Offering camps for different age groups and interests, the Hermitage provides a unique experience while incorporating art projects, outdoor activities and nature walks, museum tours, guest instructors, and games.
Summer camps have filled up fast but there are limited spots available in these camps:
2 spaces left - Stop Motion Animation Camp – July 16-20, ages 6-10
Have you watched The Nightmare Before Christmas? Or how about Boxtrolls? LEGO movie? Did you know that all these movies were created using Stop-Motion Animation? Stop-Motion Animation is an amazing process that uses multiple photos to create movement. Using a variety of mediums such as clay, paper, and paint, we will be creating multiple short films using characters from our own imagination! Join us and experience the stop-motion phenomenon!
8 spaces left – Yoga Camp, August 27-29th, ages 6-9
Learn yoga poses and play games in the scenic gardens of the Hermitage. Spend the afternoons engaged in art activities that encourage young minds to express themselves and focus. Enjoy yoga stories, songs, and guided meditations. Learning the art of mala making (meditation bracelets), creating natural wind chimes and building tiny “portable meditation stations” are just some of the planned activities. These yoga and art activities foster coping and social skills that will benefit children in the upcoming school year.
