ZooBoo is coming! Saturday & Sunday, October 22-23, 2022 come out to celebrate ZooBoo, one of the Virginia Zoo’s biggest annual events! Purchase Your Tickets Here!

Date: Saturday & Sunday, October 22-23, 2022 from 9am-5pm

Cost: Zoo Members: $8, Non-members $20. Advance reservations are required, no walk-ups permitted.

**Advanced reservations and timed ticketing are required to limit lines and discourage gatherings. You must enter within your one-hour timeframe or risk losing your reservation. Once you enter the Zoo, you may stay as long as you’d like. Gates open at 9 and close at 3 pm. Event ends at 5 pm.

Activity:  ZooBoo is coming! Get ready for your favorite Halloween tradition at the Zoo. With visitor safety as our first priority, ZooBoo will provide a safe environment for all ages to enjoy the spirited holiday featuring several activities:

  • Pre-packed candy bags
  • Pumpkin enrichment with the animals
  • Animal Ambassador pop-ups at the ZooLive! Stage
  • Pick-your-own pumpkin patch
  • Costume contest with prizes
  • Interactive, contactless activities including a scavenger hunt and Frankenstein’s Dance Field
  • Gift Shop and African Village Cafe open.

Zoo Boo 2022 at the Virginia Zoo

**All children ages 2-12 will receive a pre-made treat bag filled with small toys and a variety of candy (palm-oil free or made from sustainably harvested palm oil). These bags are available for attendees ages 2 to 12, and can only be picked up after you scan your admission tickets. Please note: some candy may have nuts, milk or soy.
