Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Hampton Roads

Dolly Parton was a national treasure. One of the many (many) reasons why is Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library initiative. One in 7 children under the age of five in the United States receives Imagination Library books!

About Imagination Library: Each month, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library mails a high quality, age appropriate book to all registered children, addressed to them, at no cost to the child’s family. Countless parents have shared how excited their child is when their new book arrives each month. Many groups and individuals work hard behind the scenes to make that special moment possible for each child.

Books are mailed from birth until a child’s fifth birthday, and there is no income requirement to sign up. Each local program is run by a different community partner, so the area you live in determines which program you enroll with.

There are now several cities and counties participating in the Imagination Library program within the Hampton Roads area.
