Archaeology for Kids with Fairfield Foundation
Does anyone have an active child interested in archaeology? I sure do and this event caught my eye!
Archaeology for Kids with Fairfield Foundation
Session One:
Where: Morgan Memorial Library 443 West Washington Street Suffolk VA
When: Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10:30am
Cost: Free to attend, no RSVP required
Description: Do you want to know more about what archeologists have found right here in Virginia? Join us for “What’s Found Underground” to learn how they identify and clean artifacts, while learning about the people who lived there years ago. Find out what’s so special about American Indian culture and history by studying their pottery, and even create and decorate your own clay pot! Get ready to be fascinated by how archeologists have mapped the past long before we had GPS to see just what’s found underground! STEM program focusing on cool artifacts with guest presenter from the Fairfield Foundation to teach about archeology, preservation, and education.
Session Two:
