Norfolk Virginia - Neon Festival 2019

Kicking off tonight the annual NEON Festival celebrates the local art scene with great exhibits and events in downtown Norfolk!

Where: Downtown Norfolk, VA

When: Thursday and Friday, October 17-18, 2019

Cost: Free and open to the public. Parking is available at the Harrison Opera House, the Chrysler Museum of Art and Norfolk's Community Services Building at 225 W. Olney Road.

Description: What's the newest art this year? Don't miss these murals and art projects created for the 2019 NEON Festival! With art-focused events at The Chrysler Museum, D'Art Center, TCC Perry Glass Wheel Art Center and other locations throughout the NEON District in Norfolk

Highlights of the Festival's visual arts program include:

  • Festival Kick Off at the Chrysler Museum of Art, Thursday, 5-9pm
  • Third Thursday at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio with returning muralist Esteban del Valle, 8-10pm
  • d'Art Center's Unconventional exhibition opening, Thursday, 5-9pm
  • #workingartistsstudios open studios, Thursday, 5-9pm
  • Art Tours with special guest artists Thursday and Friday evenings at 6:30 and 8:30pm
  • TCC @ NEON glass blowing and new exhibitions at TCC Perry Glass Wheel Arts Center, Friday, 6-10pm
  • Figuratively Speaking exhibition opening at Commune, Friday, 5-10pm
  • NEON Emporium, Doodlefest and WHRO Bob Ross Pop Up at Neon House, Friday, 6-10pm
  • SPARK poster exhibition and silent auction in Magazine Lane Friday
  • Pop up galleries on Friday in Amplified IT, Urban Discovery Ministries, the Copeland Center, 717 and 723 Granby Street
  • Visual and interactive art displays Raise Up Your VoiceUhauled and iSheep along NEON District streets Friday
