Adventure River Dolphin Derby at Ocean Breeze Waterpark

Ocean Breeze Waterpark will host the first Adventure River Dolphin Derby to benefit Chartway Federal Credit Union’s We Promise Foundation on May 17, 2014, to kick-off its summer season.

What happens in a Dolphin Derby?

5,000 toy dolphins will be dropped into the Adventure River at Ocean Breeze Waterpark where they will race 1,000 feet to the finish line. Winners will have the opportunity to capture some great prizes and help make a difference in a child’s life. Dolphins can be adopted for $5 each or five for $20, and supporters will receive discounted tickets to the waterpark for its opening day.

Where: Ocean Breeze Waterpark 849 General Booth Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23451

When: Race starts at 10:30am on May 17, 2014

Additional Info: Participants who sponsor a dolphin in advance will be able to purchase discounted all-day admission passes to Ocean Breeze Waterpark for its opening day for only $19.99 plus tax.

How to buy a dolphin for the race: Dolphins can currently be purchased at all local Chartway Federal Credit Union branches, at Ocean Breeze Waterpark, and at the Ocean Breeze Waterpark kiosk at Greenbrier Mall.
