Act for Australia at the Virginia Zoo

If you have been watching the devastating fires in Australia and don’t know how to help, the Virginia Zoo in Norfolk is hosting “Act for Australia” – a day to raise awareness, educate and help support the animals affected by the fires and those who are trying to save their lives. 

Where: The Virginia Zoo, Norfolk VA

When: Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 10am-2pm

Cost: Most activities included FREE with Zoo Admission 

Planned activities:

  • Australia Walkabout exhibit open from 10 am to 2 pm
  • 11 am – Keeper Chat
  • 11:30 am – Special Australia Behind the Scenes Tours ($20 per person)
  • Interactive and educational activities and crafts
  • Animal Enrichment
  • Zoodoption Special that contributes directly to the Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund, organized by our zoological colleagues at Zoos Victoria in Australia.
