Gruesome creatures creep from dark crevices. Leering, shrieking clowns emerge from unseen hiding spots. Even the rustle of the wind through the dry leaves induces terror. This Halloween, those brave enough to chance a walk through Terror Woods at Great Bridge Pumpkin Patch can immerse themselves in a truly fearful experience. The lengthy, wooded trail features actors and eerie animated props that send guests scuttling. And, if guests still have their wits about them, one look at the dilapidated cabin along the trail, with its inhabitants staggering out and inching closer and closer to the path's edge, will surely send them reeling. 2025 Costs: TBA

A collection of over 40 local artisans. Most items are handmade, but we also have some found treasures. We offer Arts and craft classes for children and adults. Children’s Classes are available as walkins anytime we are open. Adult classes are scheduled and listed on our Facebook page and website. Spring break and summer camps available.

Homeschool social group for neurodivergent kids in Hampton Roads, Virginia

The Academy of Learning is a licensed daycare for children ages 2-5 providing students with a solid educational foundation, along with a nurturing environment. All staff are degreed teachers. Summer camps available.

Classes for actors 12+

The Agape School of the Virginia Peninsula is now accepting applications for the upcoming school year. We are a new school launching with Kindergarten, First, and Second grade. Although new to the area, we are part of a network that has helped establish, train, and build 20+ sustainable schools across the country. We plan to add one grade level annually focusing on healthy growth that will determine our future grade levels. Located in Denbigh United Presbyterian Church (302 Denbigh Boulevard), we offer hands-on learning, classes sizes of 14 or fewer, strong relationships with peers, teachers, and the community, and an intentionally low-tech environment (wisely incorporating STEAM). We welcome all families seeking a space where students are mentally, spiritually, and intellectually equipped to better the local and global community. Our sliding scale model makes this educational experience accessible to families of all incomes.

Christ-centered foster care services

Welcome to The Bake Studio at May’s — where butter, flour, and a little magic come together. Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned home baker, our hands-on classes invite you to roll up your sleeves, learn new skills, and leave with something delicious (and a little flour on your apron). Baking classes are open to ages 12+. There are some parent + child classes open to younger bakers.

The Bennett Center takes a holistic approach to building families who succeed financially, emotionally, physically, and mentally. Our mission is to close the gap of poverty in urban cities surrounding Hampton Roads. Increasing financial stability of families in providing jobs through our customer service call center, supporting the youth through education in our private school and nurturing healthy relationships between parents who are the glue in sustaining families.

The Candi Care Foundation is a nonprofit organization operating as a 501(c)(3), Managed by those who have accumulated over 10 years of experience in the field, hold degrees in human services, driven by genuine passion and dedicated to offering services, materials, and resources for the Special Needs community. Our primary objective is to create an optimal environment for individuals with special needs, enabling them to engage in activities, acquire knowledge, socialize, and actively participate in the community.

We will be having quarterly (possibly more frequently) play dates throughout the Virginia Beach/Hampton Roads area. Please join us to make new friends, learn about Babywearing and try out a few carriers.

COMPASS is a standardized Team-Mentoring program developed by spouses for spouses. COMPASS focuses on spouses new to the Navy; however, all spouses are welcome. COMPASS improves the quality of life through education, enabling spouses to understand, experience, and meet the Navy lifestyle’s challenges. With this knowledge and realistic expectations, their journeys can be successful and rewarding.
