The Hampton Roads Chess Association (HRCA) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to bringing the benefits of chess to people of all ages and abilities across our region. Serving youth and adult competitive chess players, schools, the handicapped, the elderly, veterans, and Scouts. Ongoing chess programs, instruction, groups and Summer camps available.

This is a group for Christian home schooling parents to create fun social events for our children to be a part of. This group is different than other homeschooling groups in that we don't actually discuss homeschooling on the page, including academics, workshops, curriculum, etc. - that can be done in other groups. This is where we take a minute to breathe, and focus on Jesus and fun events only.

Weekly nature group for homeschoolers that meets once a week for group activities, nature walks and free play. Activities are geared towards elementary aged children but younger siblings are welcome.

Hampton Roads Homeschool Sports is a Christian sports league for homeschooled children serving all of Hampton Roads. Our League is dedicated to focusing on, and specializing in the instruction of homeschooled boys and girls ages 3 years to teenage years. Players are given highly specific instruction in the fundamentals and strategies of baseball, softball and soccer by trained coaches to insure the players' success.

Come join our club and grow your leadership skills by planning and organizing field trips and volunteer opportunities. The sky is the limit for whatever the teens can plan as a group and we will guide them with the steps it takes to lead and organize events. Membership in the group will require attendance at our weekly meeting, participation at planned events, and following through on responsibilities. Adult leadership and support are 100% provided.

Homeschool group for parents with children on the spectrum

Ages 7 - 18. The Hampton Roads Hurricanes Youth Track and Field Team is an AAU, non-profit organization that practices and participates in track meets locally, regionally, and nationally.

Montessori Child Care from 16months to 3 years. Preschool ages 3-5. Elementary Program ages 6-12. Before/Aftercare and Summer programs available. Locations in Hampton and Newport News.

Hampton Roads Jump rents bounce houses, inflatable slides, obstacle courses and concession machines. Serving all of Hampton Roads.

Karate classes for kids ages 5+, Teens and Adults. Summer camps and birthday parties available.

Hampton Roads Chapter of US Lacrosse serving Peninsula and Southside

This group serves as a safe space for LGBTQ+ homeschoolers, be they students, or parents, and their allies. We provide social interaction virtually and in person (when Covid responsible).
We hope to create a list of LGBTQ+ affirming co-ops, online classes, museums and. more.

We are a mommy and me play group. We organize meet ups with our Littles for some GOOD TIMES while Moms can also interact with each other. This group is intended for moms who would like to have other Mom friends while allowing our kids to play and enjoy each other. This group is mostly weekday meet ups, but we will be open to weekend events as they come.

Mommy&Me Meets has been designed to keep all Mommies up to date with the goings on in our group.

Family Nature Clubs worldwide are dedicated to helping people get time in nature back on the family calendar by providing regular opportunities to engage in hikes, paddles, camping trips and other fun outdoor family activities.
