Monster Making at The Creative Well (Virginia Beach)

Join instructor Kaitlyn Nguyen on Saturday, October 10, from 2:00–4:00 p.m.
This workshop is designed for young makers ages 8–16, and registration is $45 per participant.
Design it, stitch it, stuff it, and bring your very own mini monster to life! In this hands-on sewing workshop, students will learn the basics of hand stitching while designing and creating an original stuffed creature from start to finish.
Students will choose their monster’s shape, colors, features, and personality, then learn beginner-friendly stitching techniques to assemble and stuff their creation. Along the way, they’ll build confidence with a needle and thread while exploring character design, problem-solving, and creative expression.
Each participant will leave with a one-of-a-kind handmade stuffed monster – and some new sewing skills to keep creating at home. No previous sewing experience is necessary.
